want to shop at Indigo...
Thanks for posting the reviews. I've been wanting to stop in but I don't seem to be hitting the hours well and they're closed when I'm in town - do you know their hours? - Cathy , posted 06/10/06

indigo kids deserves good business!
Alison, I'm glad you are calling attention to Indigo kids!!! It IS a really great source for GOOD quality kids clothes (with sizes all the way up to jr. high or extra-short mamas).... Sara opened shop a little over a year ago, I think... she said that she wanted to do something that would give directly back to community families, as opposed to just selling wares to tourists (which is what she had previously been doing with her ceramic work). If you go in there and ask how things are, she'll openly tell you that the winter was "dismal" for sales and I know she worries about the shop.

I should add that there's a lovely little spot for kids to play while you shop, and Sara is very hospitable and willing to help. Molly loves it there.....

If you have things to bring in, be sure to call first, b/c I think you need to make an appointment....

Kids' clothes - no shipping charge, no ferry ticket
Hi all -
Just a note about this used clothing store in case you haven't been in yet. I spent less than $15 yesterday (including tax) and brought home a set of pajamas and three cotton sweatpants. It's good quality stuff; the pajamas are by OshKosh, and one of the pants are by Hanna Anderssen (these sell for $16 new). No tears or stains, it's all in good shape. The most expensive item I bought was only $4.50. I think this is a good local place to check out before buying on the internet or mainland. - Alyson , posted 06/01/06
