The Hoh Valley Trail
I took a couple from LA up the Trail last weekend for three nights - it blew their minds! Beauty beyond belief. I grew up south of the Peninsula. I've traveled to incredible places - the Hoh is one of my very favorites! I've been hiking this trail for almost 25 years...and it never ceases to wow me! Mama!!! - theresa marie , posted 08/23/08

The northwest at it's finest
I grew up in Sequim in the shadow of the olympics. I spent many weekends hiking and playing in that wonderland, and still have no real idea of all that it has to offer. Its vast, mostly wet, and lovely in
all seasons. - K , posted 08/22/08

what's not to Love
with rugged wild beaches, plush mossy rain-forest, alpine meadows, hidden waterfalls, and dense old growth. There is a little bit of everything natural and wild in the Olympic National Park. I've explored many of the parks treasures. If I was forced to choose just one favorite spot I'd have to with the Ozzette triangle trail. There's just something magical about the trails that lead to the coast, and the miles of un-tamed shoreline. I try to avoid times of the year when lots of other people are visiting..go in the mid - late fall, winter if your made from hearty stock, or early spring. Be aware of the tides!! Low low low is the best time to be at the beach. No matter where you explore in this jewel of a park, respect the rules which are for your protection, and the benifit of the natural beauty. - Dawn , posted 10/19/07
